Democracy has been far away from Myanmar. Myanmar people suffered a lot, sacrificed a lot , died a lot, detained in jails, lacking of freedom of media,living in own country with fear along side with economic insufficiency,met with fake referendum and negligence of 1990 election result and bringing lives without human rights, even monks had crushed brutally by military rulers in September, 2007.
Despite good and sound geopolitical interest, Myanmar is still far away from Democracy too long.
Why can't we initiate "informed citizens" and getting "informed choices" of the public? Getting participation of mass public (if possible, by all)in democratization process. Letting all the public by harnessing and participate all the way to Democracy. Yes, Propaganda is essential for democracy.
By active participation of the informed public, we can further do a lot to get good governance transparently. By evaluating the governance with indicators from Freedom House Index and International IDEA, we can well diagnose the key issues and problems. I rather want to try to do the research for tailoring of the best suit (after diagnosed the problem) for Myanmar to get democracy which is true and genuine.
